Gold Prices Hold Steady in Egyptian Markets with Gold Sovereign Trading at 50,480 EGP

Gold prices in the Egyptian domestic market have demonstrated relative stability across trading sessions, with the 8-gram gold sovereign holding at approximately 50,480 Egyptian pounds (EGP).
The steady pricing in local jewelry shops and bullion markets reflects a balanced trading environment supported by calm global spot prices and stable foreign exchange rates. According to market data from goldsmiths and trade associations, 21-karat gold—the most popular standard in Egypt—continues to trade near EGP 6,310 per gram. Meanwhile, higher-purity 24-karat gold stands at around EGP 7,210 per gram, and 18-karat gold hovers near EGP 5,410 per gram.
Market traders note that buyer activity remains measured, as consumers and investors monitor both international Federal Reserve interest rate policy shifts and domestic economic indicators before entering large transactions.
